Millionaires Set to Celebrate 100 Years

The Melville Millionaires are preparing to celebrate 100 year of hockey in Melville July 4th to 6th.
Alumni Chairman Brian Morris outlines what's happening that weekend.

"Starting the Friday evening we have the registration from 7:00-11:00 at the arena. People will have a chance to view some of the silent and live auction items on display. Plus the Millioniare Booster Booth will be up and running so people can view some of the new items coming in."

Saturday features a golf tournament at the Melville Golf and Country Club, and a Sportsman's Dinner at Melville Stadium that night.
Morris says former Philadelphia Flyer Brian Propp, and Brett Clark (pictured right), currently of the Colorado Avalanche highlight the list of alumni coming back.

"We have numerous other alumni coming back, dating way back. We have Gerry James coming back, he used to coach with the Mils. We have Metro Prystai, who was a two-Cup winner in 1952 and 1954 with the Detroit Red Wings. Merv Kuryluk, from Yorkton, played for the Mils for awhile, and with Chicago. We have many other locals, Don Chesney, who coached and played with the Mils, and today's coach Jamie Fiesel will be talking to us about what's going on these days."

To get your banquet tickets or golf entries, head to the Main Street Cafe, Tourist Booth, the Golf Course, or the Melville Advance.
