The Northern Michigan Wildcats didn't have the greatest weekend, falling 3-2 and 4-2 to their rivals from Western Michigan.
Former Swan Valley Stampeder Stephan Vigier, however, did more than his part, scoring twice in each game, picking up all four Wildcats' goals over the weekend.
After the breakout weekend, Vigier's now tied for the team-lead with 5 goals through 8 games, and is third in points, with 6.
His five goals have come on just 13 shots on goal, and he leads the Wildcats with a shooting percentage of .385. His .605 face-off winning percentage is also tops on the club, having gone 49-32 at the face-off dot.
Vigier also has a responsible +2 rating so far on the season.
The Notre Dame, MB product led the Stampeders in scoring in 2007-08 as a 17-year-old, with 37g-49a-86p in 60 games, and was named the MJHL's Rookie of the Year.
