Three of our local teams played Friday, and three on Saturday... and combined to go 0-6.
Saturday night, Melville dropped their home opener 3-2 to Estevan at Horizon Credit Union Centre. Dustin Eberle and Lucas Froese scored, while Alex Wakaluk made 31 saves.
Yorkton fell 5-2 in La Ronge, and return home from their first northern swing empty-handed. Doing the scoring was Jeremy Johnson and Jamie Vlanich.
The Wayway Wolverines gave up 15 goals in two nights on their road trip, following an 8-4 loss Friday in Winkler with Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Saints in Winnipeg. Ashely Howie, Zaine Walker and Brett Pinkerton scored for Wayway.
Just a quick one tonight... I'll post some HCU Centre pics sometime on Sunday.
P.S... one positive note from Saturday night was the Yorkton Harvest picking up their first win of the season, as they beat the visiting Saskatoon Contacts 5-4. Congrats to Jeff Odgers on his first win as Harvest Head Coach! The two teams meet again Sunday at 2:00.

they need to find the offence and do a better job on the defence and goaltending part of it too.they need the points and your not going to get any points on the road if your not trying hard enough to get them.better luck next time .they going to need it
Always a "Debbie Downer" out there somewhere! Go Terriers Go!
Expectations are high in Melville. I'm sure Feez knows that, this team needs to Win! I hope they don't dig themselves an early hole that they can't get out of!
