The Wayway Wolverines will be without 20-year-old goaltender Brett Gagnon this season.
Gagnon will stay home in Winnipeg, and attend Red River College, while playing Junior in the MMHL.
"We have three other guys in camp still," said Wolverines' Coach/GM Barry Butler. "Plus we've got Spencer (Tremblay) in Moose Jaw. Spencer's a guy who would have played big minutes for us, but he's got another opportunity and is playing really well in Moose Jaw, so we'll be watching that situation closely."
The Wolverines acquired Gagnon from the Winnipeg Saints on December 1, 2009, after dealing starter Jayme Janzen to the Swan Valley Stampeders. Gagnon was the starter in Wayway for much of last season, and shared the load down the stretch, including playoffs, with deadline acquisition Ryan Benitez.
