Ochapowace and Starblanket First Nations are pleased to announce they have hired Danny McKay as Coach/General Manager of the Ochapowace Junior Thunder of the Prairie Junior Hockey League.
McKay has spent the last year and a half as an Assistant Coach with the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
The Junior Thunder also announced they have hired Alfie Bear as Assistant Coach for the upcoming season.
Bear served as captain of the Thunder during the 2008/2009 hockey season.
McKay replaces Ron Holloway who has joined the LaRonge Ice Wolves of the SJHL.
