Terriers Shore Up 'D': Add Remenda

The Yorkton Terriers picked up Nipawin Hawks' captain Brant Remenda on Monday night, just hours ahead of the trade deadline.

Remenda's a Nipawin product, and in his 3rd season with the club, had 2g-9a-11p, along with 93 PIMs in 25 games.

Craig, I guess that means no Bourhis and no Vandane.

Does this mean Van Dane, Neibrandt and Bourhis are all staying put. If they are I think we need Howden from ND as well. Melfort and LaRonge in the north look very strong. Very good pickup by Ches adds some needed toughness.

Yes all Dub guys are staying, good for them but unfortunate for the Terriers... even one of them back would have been a huge boost.

To be honest I'm not sure why so many people think Howden is available. He's only 19. Not saying he WON'T be moved, but it would surprise me.

I think the Terriers are done. I BELIEVE they have room for one more move, but I think that's all they'll do. Rockwell/Dumais will likely rotate in that #6D position. Remenda makes them deeper along with Tendler/McMullen, Leismeister/Decker.

Might be lacking that pure #1 guy who can run the PP, although I think Tendler is as solid as they come.

Have you heard of any more deals involving Swan? We got Keller on Friday, but other than that we've been pretty quite so far.

With all the Terriers have probably given up for next year, they might as well fill that last spot if they can. Their D still looks a little weak. They have not been the same group since VanDane left.
