I'm only at the Showcase in Weyburn on Sunday, but we'll have a double header on GX94.
Since we never do Saturday night games in the regular season, and the station didn't want a Friday afternoon game on the air... Sunday games were the only possibilities.
Melville picked up a point against Estevan, which is a small victory, and a little disappointing. Good, because Estevan's a great team, and one of the teams the Mils are trying to track down... disappointing because they let three one-goal leads get away.
Cody Hanson (15, 16) scored twice, while Roger Tagoona (5) had the other.
Justin Hollinger scored in the shootout, while Alex Sirard gave up 3 shootout goals, after making 33/36 saves through regulation and overtime.
Joel Danyluk got the win for the Bruins.

The Yorkton Terriers look to stay hot as they open their Showcase action tonight at 8:00 against Melfort.
The Terriers have the top record in the SJHL.
They have to stay overnight in Weyburn, with a quick turnaround, and a 2:00 date with Flin Flon on Sunday... our first game of our doubleheader.
Coverage begins at 1:50, and we'll have Meville and Melfort on the air at 5:00.
I plan to TRY to stay on the air for the entire time, including the roughly half hour gap between the end of the post game show and the next pre game.
As of now I have no idea how we'll do that! But with every coach, radio guy, scouts and league brass all around... it shouldn't be a big problem. We'll play a song or two if it comes down to it but my goal is to have hockey on GX94 for roughly 6 straight hours.

The Swan Valley Stampeders beat Portage for a second straight meeting on Friday, with a 4-1 decision at the Centennial Arena.
Brent Wilson, Shelby Gray, Taylor Epp, and Tony Partridge scored, while Ryan Marshall had 3 assists, giving him 6 points in his last 2 games.
The Stamps were out-shot 31-22, with Jayson Argue turning aside 30 shots in the win.
