The Yorkton Harvest were out-shot 37-18 by the Regina Pat Canadians... but won 2-1.
Spencer Bomboir (pictured) made 36 saves to earn the win, while Levi Cable and Dustin Minto did the scoring.
That moves the Harvest above .500, to 12-11-1-2, and vaults them from 8th place into 6th.
The Harvest aren't high enough in the standings to qualify for the Mac's Tournament this year. But Head Coach Graham Garrett says that might not be such a bad thing.
"Now there's just one goal. Other years, the goal is to get to the Mac's, and then make the playoffs and go to the Telus Cup. The Mac's is a high for the players, and when we've gone there, we seem to come down in January and February after the tournament. Don't get me wrong, it's great to go to the Mac's, it's great to experience an event like that, but it's all about winning come playoff time, and now we can focus on that."
The Harvest are off tonight, and then host the league-leading Prince Albert Mintos tomorrow night and Sunday afternoon. The Mintos have a record of 19-3-2.
