Tyler Howe started the 2009-2010 season with the Melville Millionaires, and wound up with the Moncton Wildcats in the QMJHL.
The Wildcats beat the Saint John Sea Dogs 7-4 on Monday night, taking the 'Q' Championship in 6 games.
Howe and the Wildcats will head to Brandon for the Memorial Cup, beginning this Friday, joining the Host Wheat Kings, the WHL Champion Calgary Hitmen, and the defending Memorial Cup and OHL Champion Windsor Spitfires.
The 6'6", 235 lb Howe played defense for the Mils, but converted to forward in Major Junior, and in 29 regular season games in Moncton, put up 2-goals and 1-assist, along with 51 penalty minutes. He dressed in 3 of the Wildcats playoff games, was held off the scoresheet, and stayed out of the penalty box.
I plan on trying to track down the Massachusetts product sometime this week!
