MJHL Player of the Week: Niko Grose

The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have turned things around in 2010, winning 4 of their last 6 hockey games, and a big reason for that has been the play of their captain Niko Grose.

The Welwyn, SK product racked up 5g-1a-6p in 4 games last week, and leads the Wolverines in goals (18), assists (27) and points (45) in 43 games.

Grose is Wayway's lone representative for the upcoming MJHL All-Star Game in Winkler this weekend.

Wayway is unbelievable and if the playoffs started at Christmas, would battle for 2nd or 3rd in the division. If you look around the sherwood for next year and what is coming back, it could be a ridiculous division. Barry Butler has done an unreal job there this year and his players are sold out. Actually, a guy wonders whether they could possibly get a crossover spot still. I wouldnt count those kids out until the end.
