The Mils have won 3 straight games heading into the break, and are back to .500 at 16-16-2-1, two points back of the Yorkton Terriers with 2 games in hand, and the Mils and Terriers square off January 1st (in MVL) and 2nd (in YOR) for their annual New Year's home-and-home.
Coach Jamie Fiesel and G Zach Rakochy will take part in the World U17's in Timmins, ON beginning December 29th, along with Swan Valley D Evan Morden, and Wayway F Jens Meilleur.

Deszi Wiens made 32/33 saves in the win.
This was originally supposed to be Wayway's last game before Christmas, but they've got a makeup game against Selkirk on Tuesday night, at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.

Ryan Marshall (28g) and Shelby Gray scored twice each, D Brent Wilson (pictured) had 1g-3a and Myles Stevens had 1g-2a. Also having big point nights were Carter Selinger (2a) and Chris Reimer (3a).
Two goalies who were Stampeder teammates a couple short weeks ago went head to head. Winnipeg South's Charlie Pogue made 30 saves on 36 shots, while Swan's Caden Unger made 19 saves on 25 shots in his toughest outing so far as a Stamp, although he's still yet to lose in regulation, with a record of 7-0-0-2.
Swan Valley hits the Christmas break with a record of 24-13-2-3, and with Neepawa losing in Wayway and OCN falling in Steinbach on Saturday, have at least a 10 point lead on the rest of the field for 2nd in the Sherwood. Portage has 5 games in hand and are 10 pts back in 3rd.
With 42 games played, they've got 20 remaining after Christmas, 18 of which are against Sherwood Division opponents. Here's their schedule breakdown, and it's a toughie!

OCN: 5 (3 home, 2 away)
Dauphin: 4 (1 home, 3 away)
Portage: 3 (1 home, 2 away)
Neepawa: 3 (2 home, 1 away)
