Stamps Strike Back at Home

Ryan Marshall (pictured) scored for the third time in as many games to start the season, and the Swan Valley Stampeders bounced back Wednesday, earning a home-and-home split with the OCN Blizzard thanks to a 5-3 win at the Corral.

Marshall, Chris Reimer, Darcy Riddell (goal, assist), Brent Wilson (goal, assist) and Carter Selinger supplied the offense in the victory, while Chris Ward, playing in his third straight game, stopped 30 of the 33 shots he faced for his second 'W'.

The Stamps went 0-5 on the powerplay, but Riddell's goal was scored short-handed against a Blizzard PP that went 1-7.

Thursday marks the only day the Stampeders have off in a 6 day stretch, with a 3 day trip to Selkirk, Steinbach and Winkler this Friday through Sunday, completing a busy 5 game in 6 day period.
