Marshall Named MJHL's First P.O.W.!

Swan Valley Stampeders' 18 F Ryan Marshall has earned the MJHL's first nod as Player of the Week for the 2009-2010 season. The Ste. Rose product leads the league with 6 goals, and his 9 points are just one shy of the league lead, behind Stampeder teammates Darcy Riddell and Brent Wilson... and OCN's Zeanan (Buternowski) Ziemer.

Aside from the Stampeders' 2-0 loss in Selkirk on Friday night, Marshall has points, and goals, in every other game so far, helping the Stamps out to a nice 4-and-2 start. The line of Marshall, along with Riddell and Carter Selinger, have combined for an impressive 13 goals and 27 points in just 6 games.

The Stampeders are tied for first in the Sherwood with the Dauphin Kings (4-1-0-0), who've played one less game than the Stamps. Swan Valley's home to the Portage Terriers on Wednesday night, 7:30 at the Centennial Arena.
