Minitonas, MB product and former Parkland Ranger goaltender Devan Dubyk is getting another shot in the Western Hockey League, after a 3-player swap included the 18-year-old puckstopper going from the Moose Jaw Warriors to the Medicine Hat Tigers. The trade makes for a big loss for the SJHL's Notre Dame Hounds, who had Dubyk between the pipes for 4 of their first 5 games, and he was named SJHL Goalie of the Week, posting a 1.69 GAA and a .935%.
Dubyk was largely to thank for the Hounds' quick start of 3-1-0-1.
He was re-assigned by Moose Jaw, after the Warriors gave the top two jobs to Jeff Bosch and Brandon Glover.
The trade may also come as a bit of a relief to the Yorkton Terriers, who host Notre Dame tonight (WED) at 7:30.

It was also announced yesterday that former Swan Valley Stampeder defenseman Ethan Gardner has found yet another home. The Melfort Mustangs have acquired the 20-year-old blueliner. Gardner went from Weyburn to Swan Valley to Estevan to Port Alberni to Fort William and now to Melfort in the last 3 years ( I think that's all). Ethan was a very impressive rookie in Swan, but has moved around a lot since then.
