Here's my first hockey scoop of the summer for ya. I was at the same wedding as Brayden Metz over the weekend, and the former Millionaire is heading back to the Regina Pats this fall.
I wouldn't release something like this based on a private conversation with a player, so I did confirm it with Coach/GM Jamie Fiesel this morning before posting it.
Metz was a high draft pick of the Pats, and also spent time in the WHL with the Chilliwack Bruins and Moose Jaw Warriors. The 19-year-old Regina product scored 6-goals and 7-assists in 72 career WHL games.
Of course the possibility still exists that Metz could return to the Millionaires, but for his sake, lets hope his second Western League stint works out for him.
Metz had 4-goals and 11-assists in 18 games last season for the Mils, and 4-goals and 5-assists in 17 playoff games.
