Trades!

- 20-year-old Rhein, SK product Evan Neibrandt (pictured) has been acquired by the Swan Valley Stampeders, completing the trade that saw D Justin Giesbrecht go to the Yorkton Terriers at last year's trade deadline. Niebrandt had 12-goals and 21-points last season, and has accumulated 175 PIM in his first two seasons of Junior 'A' hockey. Before all the coffee-rowers say "You JUST found this out?"... no... I heard the rumours as soon as anyone, about January 11th... but it wasn't official until it appeared on the MJHL website today.

- The Stampeders have also traded 20-year-old forward Jared Whincup to his hometown Portage Terriers for future considerations. Whincup had 8-goals and 17-points a year ago.

- The Waywayseecappo Wolverines have sent 18-year-old forward Richard Little to the Winnipeg Saints, completing a trade that has 20-year-old forward Jared McCarthy coming the other way. Little scored 10 goals as a 17-year-old last season.

Hi Craig;
I'm pretty sure Richard Little got traded to the Winnipeg Saints not the South Blues.
Hope it's warmer in Yorkton, Sk than in East St. Paul, Mb - it's overcast and only 11 degrees here!
Take care.
Jodi

You're right. I was thinking Saints but typed Blues. Thanks.

And no... weather sucks here too!
