Five hours of baseball... still no winner.
It was 5-5 after 9... 6-6 after 15... 7-7 after 16... and it stayed that way through 18... at which point the Yorkton Cardinals and Moose Jaw Miller Express decided to pick it up another time. Moose Jaw's back in Yorkton June 13th... and they'll finish last night's game then, before starting fresh.
Full stats are not on the WMBL site yet, with the game not actually completed. And I don't have them! Although I did wait it out till the end. I know it was announced Cardinal pitching struck out (I think!) 26 Miller batters... and that was near the end of the game.
Part of me was disappointed they didn't finish, although it was midnight and I was up at 5:30... but I understand the decision.
Also wanna give some kudos to Calvin Daniels and Alex Mortgach from our local newspapers, who were also there till the bitter end.
