coach feez basically admits that his team quit in the Humbloldt series. He also says a break or bounce goes their way and maybe they are up 3-1. well if my aunt had a d*ck she would be my uncle. Never once does he give credit to the broncos for being the better team. I also love it how you spoon feed him those mozza ball questions so he can give you the old stand by cliche answers. never heard you ask him why goaltending was an issue for the mils in this series. right, don't ask don't tell. Keep up the great work Stein. Don't rock the boat, don't push the organization be accountable.....it is the perogie belt way.

Did you apply for the job when Struthers left? By the sounds of it, you'd do a hell of a lot better job than me. No I didn't ask the hard-hitting questions. But what you don't realize, and will never fully understand, is I know these people personally, ride the bus with them, have beers with them... and to kick a disappointed coach while he's down, the morning after losing out would be tough for both parties. Like I said, you should apply for the job and put a coach in that position and see how easy it is. I think you would, afterall, you really stand behind what you say, anonymous.

Did you watch one game in the series? Or is this the same commenter from "down the highway?"

Goaltending was not the problem. Melville scored one goal in four of the five games, and seven in the series. Three of Humboldt's five goals in Game 5 were essentially breakaways. One was a Vandesype bullet on a 5-on-3, and one was a wide-open net.

Take away Game 5, Bosch was 2.20, .920%. Not bad at all. And oh yeah, he won the Yorkton series by himself, made the best save I've ever witnessed in person in 2OT against Weyburn in Game 4, and followed it up with a shutout in Game 6 against the highest scoring team in the conference.

Thanks for some more brilliant insight "Anonymous."

way to go craig prob. one of the best play by play people in the sj. I agree with you when you say that you cant put a coach in a bad position especially when hes down. next year it should be a bit different and hopefully the mils get rated last again cause i think that motivated them. thanks to gx for the great coverage throughout the year

So is it your job to be their friend? or to be a "journalist" It is all about respect, if you can't ask them tough questions, or push them a little bit you are not doing your job. Like I said coach feisel and yourself disregard game 5. that is the one game they absolutely needed. the most important game of their entire season and you say goaltending was less than adequate and Fiesel says the players all but quit?
That my friend is a beaten team, and the coach failed to raise those players to a level where they would or could compete. Take Brockman 1 year earlier. Kindersley had the title all but wrapped up, did Humboldt fold? An RBC title tells me no.
Stein I know it is small town and you don't want to rock the boat, but give credit where credit is due. And ask the damn questions even if it means he is pissy with you for a couple of days. Other wise you are simply a fan with a microphone.

you're pretty much the smartest person I know, anonymous. maybe your team, whoever that is, will have better luck next year and you won't have to get your satisfaction in railing on other teams who went further, but not quite all the way.

Like I said, send your resume.

yep, I didn't think you would post that last one. The truth hurts hey Stein, you thought as long as you could pull the old you never had to do it bull sh*t, no one would call you out. Well now what mr professional?

I have ZERO respect for anonymous posters, so just keep it up. I post your comments for everyone else's enjoyment, because trust me, they're laughing.

Can't make everyone happy in radio, I've learned, but this year the compliments have heavily out-weighed the people like yourself... and the compliments have come from parents at the Terrier banquet, Mils' parents, and Manitoba parents too. I care a little more about what they have to say than yourself, anonymous.

all these people laughing, guess your mom and dad must not be reading today. Look at all the people coming to your defense.
You may be a great person Stein, it doesn't make you a great radio guy, especially if you are too conflicted to ask questions. the parents probably do like you, cause you have never said anything negative no matter how bad they played. Again a fan with a microphone, if you ever want to leave the melville market, you are going to have to get some thicker skin.

actually the people laughing aren't relatives of mine in any way, but they just have other ways of communicating aside from anonymously posting on a blog.

Thanks for reading though.

now that one cut me deep anonymous. (kidding)

i don't care if you flip burgers or you're a doctor... i promise you don't like what you're doing as much as I do. i might stay here for 10 years because I love it, and my wife-to-be just finished university and is starting work here next month and we're looking at homes, etc.

if you want to email me at craig575@hotmail.com I'll share with you what radio stations in what western canadian cities have contacted me for interviews in the last 2 years, without me even applying.

But... I guess you emailing me might partially reveal your identity. and that would involve having a sack. I'm done giving you the time of day on here though.
