BRADSHAW COMPLETES MILS COMEBACK

On Saturday, the Melville Millionaires let the Yorkton Terriers erase a 3 goal deficit, before bouncing back to win in overtime. Then in Monday's Game 3, the Terriers scored 3 straight to go up 4-2, before the Millionaires got 3 of their own, including Connor Bradshaw's game winner with 22 seconds left, as the Mils won 5-4, and take a 2-1 series lead.

Lucas Froese opened the scoring for Melville 4:01 in on a powerplay, and the two teams traded goals back and forth. Kelly Leismeister tied it for Yorkton, Michael Sagen gave Melville the lead back, and Nathan Murray answered again. That started the Terrier rally, as Tyler Giebel potted his 4th of the playoffs late in the first, and Brady Norrish made it 4-2 Terriers just 30 seconds into the 2nd.

Alex Elliott scored a big goal late in the third to cut it to 4-3, and Colin Mospanchuk tied it quickly into the 3rd... and it stayed 4-4 until Bradshaw's late winner.

Shots were 49-32 for Yorkton.

Game 4 goes Wednesday in Melville(7:00 / 7:30 on GX94).

---------------------------

The Swan Valley Stampeders suffered their first loss of the playoffs, falling 4-2 in OCN, and have their series lead trimmed to 2-1.

Despite giving up the game's first goal 1:29 in, they probably had their best first period of the series so far. They scored two quick powerplay goals from Tony Partridge and Kyle Smart to lead 2-1 after the first and had a solid 2nd to keep it that way through two.

But in the third, the Blizzard scored three unanswered to win 4-2 and get right back in the series, heading into Game 4 Wednesday in Swan.

Any thoughts why there are no people at his game in Yorkton???? Highway 10 series and barely 1000 fans out.
Any word where Mireau was??

what a series this is turning into Melville is looking stronger and stronger, our fans who think Fiesel will be gone this year need to take a look at his old school style and like it fight the youngest guy on the ice and take out the goalie turned that game around, Yorktons coach has a young team who are totally committed to him, two different styles both good teams exciting to watch wonder if we will see different goalies next game hope so

Good game for both sides, but as a Terrier fan we are never going to win at this level allowing 3 goals on 17 shots at this time of year! Mills goaltending was the diiference!

aint going to win a playoff series when they score a goal on every 6 or 7 shots. Great series but very poor goaltending on both sides.

Pretty exciting game to watch last night. TSN Turning point for Melville...the Mospanchuk/Gervais fight. Who says fighting doesn't have a part in hockey? Tell the Mils that after that fight totally ignited their bench.

Ya maybe tomorrow rockwell can fight Kilback

Yes come on Yorkton fans we need lots to fill our barn. There was a huge showing of fans travelled to Melville Friday which was great

Are you comparing Mospanchuk/Gervais to Rockwell/Kilback? Gervais is young but he can throw 'em. Remember the Franklin Cook scrap? Cook & Mospanchuk are the same age.

"very poor goaltending on both sides" - perhaps in game 2, sure....but if not for Voth and his 45 saves last night, the Mills don't win that game last night. Why can't the Mills limit the shots against Yorkton?!?! In the back-to-back they played against eachother after Christmas, Yorkton had nearly 100 shots in two games....

Is Kale Thomson hurt?

I don't want to say that Shymko is costing them the series right now because its a team game. However, if there is one area that Melville has clearly had the advantage in the series so far, its between the pipes. What does Cassan do in Melville, run with Shymko or give MacAuley a chance???

The last 3 guys that Bird has fought from Yorkton Sookro Oliver and Makowsky. Not one is even a fighter, so what does that tell ya? And Makowsky was the agressor when they fought so what does that tell ya

What does age have anything to do with fighting? You want to play with the big boys. Put up or shut up especially when you are out there looking for it! McCauley is horrible in net so Shymko is definitely the way to go, the only reason he is there is the Tigers are paying Yorkton to hang onto him otherwise they would have never kept 3 goal tenders.

Gary, not sure what you are trying to say,all 3 fights Yorkton players have been the agressor and Bird didn't back down from any of those. He is not only showing that he will do what it takes to win but so far he has been the Mils best defencemen. The dogs can't be to smart if the keep going after him and keep losing

Boy people dont have a clue, Medicine Hat DID NOT pay Yorkton to hang on to McCauley, Yorkton traded for his rights. Its amazing how people flap their lips when they have no clue.

It's quite the opposite, they are using a very common (and often effective) tactic by getting in Bird's face. He's had a history of being easily goaded into taking untimely penalties. Kudos to Tyler for keeping his head in the game and putting the team first. If you are gonna go to the box, take somebody with ya!

Go Mills!
