FORMER STAMP WELLS GOING DIV 1

The Bonnyville Pontiacs are pleased to announce that 20-year-old goaltender; Dylan Wells of Nashville, Tennessee has verbally committed to attend Providence College beginning the fall of 2012.

Wells, a 6'1" 180 pound goalie, was acquired by the Pontiacs on Sept. 2nd, 2011 from the Swan Valley Stampeders (MJHL). Wells has appeared in 22 games since joining the Pontiacs, recording an impressive 14-5-3 record, 2.47 goals against average and 91.47% save percentage to place among league leaders. He has also registered two shutouts.

Based in Providence, Rhode Island the Providence College Friars play in NCAA Division I Hockey East. The Friars roster currently includes two former Bonnyville Pontiacs in freshmen Matt Montesano and Julien Laplante.

The Pontiacs would like to congratulate Dylan and his family, and look forward to continued success this season as well as in his future at Providence College.

Good job for Wellsy-- he deserves it! While in Swan last season, he came out and played the best he could in every game.
