WOLVERINES 1 @ DAUPHIN 3

For the second time this season, the Wayway Wolverines lost a 3-1 game in Dauphin.

But unlike the 19-shot performance back on September 27th, the Wolverines came at the Kings hard, and were right in it from start to finish, but ran into a hot goalie and failed to capitalize on some grade-A chances.

After a scoreless first period, the Wolverines' first powerplay of the game led to both teams scoring in the 2nd. The Wolverines turned the puck over just inside the Dauphin blueline, and Brendan Kotyk sent a hail mary pass to Jeff Archibald, who opened the scoring on a shorthanded breakaway. 1:04 later, on the same PP, Zaine Walker scored on a low slapshot.

The Kings added two in the third period for a 3-1 win. Dawson Guhle stopped 29/30 shots in the win, while Cory Simons made 31/34 saves for Wayway.

The Wolverines closed out an up-and-down month of November with a 5-6-2 in 13 games.
