MILS JUMP INTO 2ND SPOT

After a 4-2 win over the visiting Kindersley Klippers on Tuesday, the Melville Millionaires are in 2nd place in the SJHL Sherwood Conference for the first time this season, leap-frogging Estevan by a point, and they've now got the Sherwood's top winning percentage, at .660, a mark that ranks them second in the league, only to Battleford (.786).

The Mils trailed 1-0 and 2-1 on Tuesday, but stormed back with three goals in the final 10 minutes to earn their 5th straight win, and improve to 8-0-1 in their last 9 games.

Jesse Mireau scored twice for Melville, Ian McNulty had a goal and an assist, while Russell Trudeau and Lee Christensen each had 2 assists. Connor Lowe-Wylde rounded out the scoring.

Alex Wakaluk made his first start in 10 days, turning aside 27/29 shots.

The Millionaires' record now sits at 14-6-2-3, as they get set for a weekend home and home with the Yorkton Terriers, starting Friday night at Horizon Credit Union Centre.

I think it is more than 5 straight wins not??

Don't have it infront of me, but pretty sure they won 3 straight, lost in OT in BAT, and have won 5 straight since. So they have points in 9 straight, but that OTL in BAT still broke the winning streak.

went to my first mills game last night, nice rink but still needs lots of things done to complected as finished, parking is a problem, is for the game the mills took over in the 3rd, the reffing looks like the same bs as usual & the Lansing is average on the best of nights, one thing I don't understand that if the net gets knock off, the face off goes out of the zone no matter who knocks the net off
