LOCAL CLUBS GO 0-FOR-3 FRIDAY

All three local junior hockey teams in action Friday night lost, and two of them were held off the scoreboard completely.

The Yorkton Terriers were shutout 4-0 in La Ronge. One of the Ice Wolves' top playoff performers from this past spring, Aaron Enns, had a goal and an assist, while the Wolves out-shot the Terriers 51-38.

Warren Shymko made 47 saves in the loss.

The Terriers play their second, and last game in La Ronge this season on Saturday night.

----------------

I was in OCN, where the Jayson Argue did everything but score for the Swan Valley Stampeders.

The 18 year old goaltender stopped 36 of 37 shots, but didn't have any offensive support, as the Stamps fell 1-0.

It was scoreless after 40 minutes, before Guillaume Vallee was finally able to solve argue 2:32 into the third period, on OCN's 29th shot of the game.

Argue, who's played every minute in goal for the Stampeders through 5 games, lowered his GAA to 1.36, and upped his SV% to .958.

The Stamps are off until starting a stretch of four games in five nights on Tuesday in Dauphin.

--------------

The Wayway Wolverines and Winkler Flyers were even at 3 after two periods, until Winkler exploded for 5 goals in the third, and went on to win 8-4.

Jean-Michel Naud had 1g-1a for Wayway, while Ashley Howie, Bobby Janzen and Brett Pinkerton scored the others. Defenseman Thomas Ward-Cardinal added a pair of assist.

The Wolverines wrap up their two game swing in Winnipeg tonight against the Saints.

Even though the Terriers are 3-2, I think they need to find some offence. Maybe Struble and Leismeister will be back soon to help!
