GOODRUNNING LEADS WAYWAY OVER OCN

A Gordie Howe hat trick.

Shane Goodrunning had a goal in the first period, an assist in the second, and a fight in the third, as the Wayway Wolverines beat the OCN Blizzard 4-1, to get back to .500 (6-6-1), and jump back over the Blizzard and into 2nd place in the MJHL Sherwood.

The Wolverines also out-shot Matt Krahn and the Blizzard 38-24.

Jean-Michel Naud, Cody Koskimaki and Richard Little also scored for the Wolverines, Brett Pinkerton had 2 assists, and James Davidson made 23 saves.

The Yorkton Terriers out-shot the Notre Dame Hounds 32-20, but had trouble solving Hounds' rookie goalie Ty Reichenbach.

The 18-year-old stopped 31 shots, and the Hounds got goals from five different guys in a 5-1 win.

Riley Paterson scored Yorkton's lone goal.

The Terriers have dropped three straight, and are 3-8 in their last 11 games, after a 3-1 start. Yorkton's in Humboldt on Saturday, before hosting those same Broncos on Tuesday.
