MILS FALL TO 0-2 WITH LOSS IN ND

The Melville Millionaires had a terrific start Tuesday night in Notre Dame, owning the first five minutes of play. Defenseman John Stechyshyn scored his first SJHL goal in just his second game, putting a wrist shot over the glove of Ty Reichenbach 2:57 in.

The Hounds proceeded to use late and early period goals to suck out all the momentum the Mils built up early.
Todd Christian scored with 26 seconds left in the first period, Carson Grolla made it 2-1 Hounds 47 seconds into the second, and Greg Ferguson scored the eventual game winner with 35 seconds to play in the middle frame.

Ian McNulty scored Melville's other two goals, giving him a team-high 3 on the season. Both of McNulty's goals came on the powerplay and were assisted by defenseman Tyson Newell.

The Mils went 2/5 on the powerplay, and out-shot the Hounds 27-25. Alex Sirard made 21 saves in the loss.

Melville now gets a week off before a Nipawin-Melfort trip next Tuesday/Wednesday.
