Argue Named First MJHL P.O.W.

Swan Valley Stampeder’s goaltender Jayson Argue has been named MJHL Player of the Week, ending September 25.

The 18-year-old from Swan River has been all but unbeatable, reflected in three wins and a shoot-out loss. Over that span he’s given up only six goals on 133 shots, giving him a sparkling .954 save percentage.

Earlier this month Argue attended the World Junior A Challenge Team West evaluation camp at Canmore, Ab. A total of 60 players attended the camp. The World Junior A Challenge takes place November in Langley, B.C.

Runners-up for the MJHL Player of the Week are David Conrad, 20, of the Selkirk Steelers and goaltender Corey Koop, 19, of the Winkler Flyers.
