The Yorkton Terriers are pleased to announce that graduating 20 year-old Defenseman Brant Remenda will continue his hockey career in the fall with the SAIT Trojans of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC). The Trojans lost in the finals of the ACAC this season, after winning the previous four championships.
A native of Nipawin, SK, the Terriers acquired Remenda from the Nipawin Hawks at the January 10th trade deadline. In 16 regular season games with the Terriers Remenda tallied 7- points. In 41- regular season games played with both Nipawin and Yorkton Remenda scored 3-goals to go along with 15-assists.
A former Captain of the Hawks, Remenda elevated his game in the playoffs, helping the Terriers advance to the SJHL League Finals. In 15 playoff games Remenda scored 1-goal 5-assists and led the team in plus/minus with a rating of plus 21.
