Andrew Madsen was 4-for-4 at the plate, also drove in a run, as the Melville Millionaires won an entertaining game 6-4 in Yorkton over the Cardinals last night.
Yorkton led 3-2 after 3 innings and the game was close all the way, but the Cardinals weren't able to muster any runs after the 6th inning.
2nd year Millionaire Nick Senior had an RBI, and says the Mils are starting to find their stride.
Nick Senior June8-11 by cstein14That's 3 straight wins for the Millionaires, who improved their record to 3-and-2.
Mils' started John Markley lasted 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, with 7 strikeouts. One Cardinal who did get to Markley was 3rd baseman David Hole. Hole cranked a pair of doubles, including a bases clearing 2-bagger in the 3rd inning. Hole has 8 RBI's on the season... no other Cardinal has more than 4.
Yorkton's home again tonight, against the Weyburn Beavers. Melvile takes the night off.
