Series Tied!

A 29 save shutout from Devin Peters led the Yorkton Terriers to a 3-0 win over La Ronge in Game 2 of the SJHL Final, tying the Best-of-Seven series at 1-1.

That was the first time all season (70 games total) the Ice Wolves have been shutout (credit Ice Wolves PBP man Daniel Fink for that nugget of info!).
After a scoreless first, Robbie Ciolfi opened the scoring with his league-leading 10th of the post season. Kurtis Decker added his 1st of the playoffs late in the period.

A Riley Paterson SH empty-netter with 1:10 remaing in the game was all the scoring in the 3rd.

Shots were 41-29 Terriers and both teams remain without a goal on the powerplay in the series. Yorkton was 0/5 and 0/8 in the series. La Ronge was 0/8 in Game 2, 0/13 in the series. The Terriers have now killed off a staggering 40 consecutive penalties against.

Games 3 and 4 go Tuesday and Wednesday back in Yorkton, and we know now the series is going at least five. Game 5 will go Friday in La Ronge.

If terriers win or lose I am with them all the way, every one that has a orange towel bring to the games & wave them all game, from the drop of the puck, until the last whistle. Come out & support our team, pack Farral Agencies to the raftors & be loud & wave those towels that was given to us. See you all at game. Go Terriers Go.

Craig, I had to view the games on Access 7. I feel the two Broadcast announcers are extremely bias for La Ronge. The way they Talk we just might as well give the Cup to the Ice wolves . It got so bad I turned off the volume and lessened to the radio, not all bad. I just wish they would put a little equal commentary into game broadcast.

As I said after Game 1... Mike & Jay are both longtime Yorkton residents. They do a great job, and IF they seem like they're favouring La Ronge, they might be trying to make sure they're not sounding like Yorkton homers, being from there... but I'll defend those guys because I know they're calling it as they see it and I know them both personally (came back with them last night actually). Glad you're listening! But I highly doubt the TV guys are as biased as some Terrier supporters are saying. La Ronge fans were saying the same thing the other way last year...

I did not find them at all biased, the first game the terriers just out and out struggled and did not match up with Laronge, it may have sounded one sided because it was, thank god Peters was on his game or it would have been alot worse, glad to see the terriers were able to play like they can last night once they settled into that atmosphere, glad to see no stinky fish last night, come on out fans GO TERRIERS

Great game for the Terriers last night. Where are the comments from the loud mouth who had already gave the Cup to the Ice Wolves? Will he be at the FAA booing the Terriers or will he sheepishly keep his mouth shut and for once support the team win or lose? I highly doubt that he can even name one player on the team without looking at a stat or roster sheet. Anyways no more talk about fair weather fans as we all know Yorkton is full of TRUE FANS that love these guys. Go Terriers Go.

Should be an interesting Game 3. First goal seems to be almost ridiculously important in this series.

A little concerned with the lack of scoring chances from the Dogs. Lots of shots, but lots are far out to create rebounds off of Bartko.

Maybe the first couple lines were restricted by the small ice in La Ronge?
