A Swan Valley win and a Wayway loss on Tuesday night means both series we're covering are going at least 6 games.
The Stampeders, behind 37 saves from Jayson Argue, beat the Portage Terriers 3-1 in Game 4, to square that series up at 2 games each.
After dropping each of the first two games in Portage in double overtime, the Stamps returned home with a pair of gutsy wins, by 2-1 and 3-1 (EN) scores.
Taylor Epp opened the scoring, and added the empty-netter, while Tony Partridge notched the game winner, on a late second period powerplay.
Argue stopped 69 of 71 shots in Games 3 & 4, for a Save Percentage of .972%. In the series, he's stopped 147/155 (.948%).
STUD!
The series is now a Best-of-Three, and shifts to Portage for Game 5 tomorrow (THU) night, on GX94.
Game 6 is now a sure thing also, and happens Saturday night in Swan. I can't confirm as of right now, but I think we'll have that one on the air too... just need to hear it from our sales guys in the morning. Yorkton COULD have Game 5 at home that night, if they lose either or both of Games 3/4... but in my opinion Game 6 of the Swan series is bigger, since Yorkton will either be up 3-1 or tied 2-2, (and at home), meaning there will be more Terrier games regardless.
--------------
The Wayway Wolverines fell 2-1 in overtime to Winkler on Tuesday night, as the road team has now won each of the first four games of that series, three of which in overtime.
Jordan Neduzak potted the winner, short-handed at 5:21 of the extra frame.
The Wolverines had just killed off a penalty, and were on a powerplay of their own when they gave up a 2-on-1, which ended up in the back of their net.
Shots were 34-24 for the Wolverines. The goalies were Gagnon (WAY) and Alexander (WINK).
Game 5 is Friday in Winkler. That one won't be on the air (Yorkton @ Estevan Game 4 will be). Game 6 Sunday in Wayway will be, and will wrap up a stretch of 9 games in 9 nights on the air, and 12 in 13 nights.
Thanks to Ken Pearson, Coach of the Battlefords North Stars for doing colour in Wayway Tuesday night! He was in the neighbourhood and was kind enough to offer his services.

Braden Adamyk scored 14 seconds into double overtime as the Kindersley Klippers beat Weyburn 3-2 on Tuesday to take a 3-0 series lead.
The first SJHL Sherwood Conference Finalist could be known as early as Wednesday night, when the Wings host the Klippers for Game 4.
---------------
And, the Ochapowace Thunder are taking the 1st place Regina Capitals to Game 7 in the PJHL Playoffs!
Ron Holloway's bunch beat the Caps 4-1 Tuesday in Lebret. Devin Laurent had 1g-2a.
The Thunder out-shot Regina 38-19, including 16-3 in the first period. Oddly enough, it was 1-0 Regina after 1! The Thunder scored the next 4 goals, and never gave up double digits in shots in any period.
Game 7 tonight (WED) at the Al Ritchie in Regina. The winner plays Pilot Butte (who swept Fort Knox) in the South Final.

One other note... I'm noticing the blog gets quite a bit of traffic in the 10pm and 11pm hours, especially here at playoff time... and when I'm driving, I obviously can't get a full recap done until I get back.
I do however, usually get a short-form update on my Twitter from my phone right after each game.
You can also see that on the right side of this blog, and you can also follow me on Twitter! I've started to use it a lot more, especially from the bus.
