It was a 'nothing game', but an exciting one in Estevan, as the Bruins and Melville Millionaires were the last teams to wrap up the final night of the regular season, with Estevan coming out on top 6-5 in a shootout.
The Mils held leads of 1-0 and 2-1, before trailing 3-2 and eventually 5-3, before scoring two late ones to tie.
Michael Desjarlais, Mark Owen, Dayton Reinboldt (1st SJHL goal), Lucas Froese (team-high 22nd), and Godric Tham scored for Melville.
There was a bit of bad blood, but I was glad to see things didn't get 'stupid' ahead of the playoffs.
The Mils are in Estevan again on Friday for Game 1 of the SJHL Sherwood Conference Survivor Series (7:15/7:30 GX94).

Unfortunately, our final regular season broadcast of 2010-11 is another 'nothing-game'.
I'm in Swan River Wednesday night as the Swan Valley Stampeders host the Wayway Wolverines.
A couple weeks ago, I remember thinking this home-and-home might decide 4th place, or even decide who's in the playoffs and who's not.
While I'm thrilled that both the Stamps and Wolverines are playoff-bound, thanks to the cross-over, it's too bad a home-and-home between two division rivals at the end of the season doesn't have a little more on the line.
Wayway learned over the weekend they'll finish 5th in the Sherwood and cross over into the Addison Division, and will face the first place team over there, either Winkler or Selkirk.
Swan Valley fell 4-2 in OCN Tuesday night, meaning they'll stay in 4th, and play the first place team in the Sherwood... either Portage or Dauphin.
Beau Taylor and Ryan Wigner (1st MJHL goal) scored for Swan Valley in OCN, while Ryan Marshall and Brent Wilson had 2 assists each.
