While it wasn't as late in the game, and it didn't clinch a Conference pennant, the Melville Millionaires had a comeback on Wednesday night, as, or more impressive than the Yorkton Terriers had Tuesday in Estevan.
The Mils were down 4-1 after two periods in Humboldt, but by time the third period was 3:30 old, they were leading 5-4, and held on for the 5-4 win.
Michael Desjarlais got the comeback started just 23 seconds into the third. Tyson Newell made it 4-3, Mark Owen tied it, and Ian McNulty got the winner. Justin Hollinger scored in the 2nd period.
That gets the Millionaires 2 points up on Notre Dame for 5th, and each team has 3 games left. Notre Dame's in Estevan tonight (THU), while Melville's back at it Friday in Weyburn.
