Millionaires Add Youth Without Trades on Deadline Day

My last phone conversation was with Millionaires' Coach/GM Jamie Fiesel at about 12:30 AM, and they JUST got in on the action late on deadline day.

No trades, but one AP from AAA who'll join them for the rest of the season, and a 17-year-old from the Western Hockey League being re-assigned to them.

1993 F Dayton Reinboldt
Swift Current Legionnaires
2010/11: 29GP (11g-18a-29p)

Reinboldt will finish this semester of school in Swift Current, before joining the Mils January 27th.

------------

The WHLer being re-assigned to the Mils is a complicated process, and the player involved doesn't know yet, and therefore I can't release the name until morning.

But, the Mils acquired the Junior 'A' rights to the player, by jumping into the late-night Kindersley-Battleford trade. They sent futures to one of those teams, for the rights to the 'Dub rookie.

They expect to see him within a week.

I interviewed Feez, but again, can't post it just yet.

It appears fans still like deadline day! This blog set a record for hits a year ago today. That record was broken on Friday when they Terriers added Boyer & Buzzeo, and was shattered on Jan/10/11 with over 2,200 viewers. That's what makes staying up late on an off-night worth it!

Alright, I'm up in 5 hours and have a trip to Neepawa ahead of me.

Likely some more reaction coming up in the morning.
