The Yorkton Terriers' winless streak reached 6 games on Tuesday, as they fell 5-2 to the visiting Kindersley Klippers.
Jeremy Boyer scored Yorkton's first goal, which was set up by fellow newcomer Justin Buzzeo and Clarke Breitkreuz, but the Klippers scored early in the first and second periods, and also struck late in 2nd, with two goals in the final minute, and another in the last minute of the third.
Brent Struble also scored for the Terriers, while Devin Peters made 24 saves in the loss.
The Klippers have now narrowed the first place gap to 5 points, with a game in hand.
Both clubs are in action again tonight, with Yorkton in Estevan (on GX94), and Kindersley in Melville.
---------------
The Swan Valley Stampeders had 2-1 and 3-2 leads, but the Neepawa Natives tied it late and won 4-3 in overtime, in a game we had on GX94 Tuesday night.
Neepawa's Zach Mausolf opened and ended the scoring, with his 16th and 17th goals of the season.
Anthony Nobili forced OT with 2:06 left on the clock... on a play that looked about 2 strides offside.
Nonetheless, the Stamps earned a key point, and are now in a 3-way tie for 2nd place with Dauphin and OCN, and have also played 2 more games than both the Kings and Blizzard.
Taylor Epp, Brent Wilson and Ryan Marshall did the scoring for Swan Valley.
Neepawa's comeback is more upsetting for the Wayway Wolverines, who were idle Tuesday night, and are now 6 points back of the Natives for 5th spot.
Wayway's in Dauphin tonight, while Swan plays host to Dauphin in a makeup game tomorrow (THU).
