All games are big this time of year, but the Wayway Wolverines could be knocking on the door of a playoff spot after this weekend. But, if things don't go their way, they could be as much as 10 points back of the race.
The Wolverines visit the Neepawa Natives tonight, before hosting the Natives tomorrow. Right now, the Wolverines are 6 points back of Neepawa for 5th, which will likley be a crossover position into the Addison Division playoffs.
Two wins make it a 2 point gap, while 2 losses would make it 10, thus the 8 point weekend.
It's far too early to be counting anybody out, but 10 points with 17 games left would be a steep hill. A split this weekend would be okay, but a sweep would be just what the doctor ordered!
I have zero broadcasts this weekend with our four teams either at home, or off all together, but I'll be paying special attention to these WAY/NEE games.

The Swan Valley Stampeders fell 6-1 to the Dauphin Kings last night, in the final head-to-head matchup between the Sherwood Division rivals this season.
The Stamps went 5-and-3 against Dauphin this season, but lost the final two meetings by a combined total of 13-4.
Clark Byczynski scored for Swan, while Dylan Wells made 30 saves.
Swan Valley's now 1-and-4 in the calendar year, and are now off until next Friday (Jan/21) when they host the Portage Terriers for two games.

Speaking of struggling in 2011, the Yorkton Terriers are 0-3-1-1 since the calendar turned, and 0-5-1-1 in their last 7.
The Terriers do kick off a 4 game homestand tonight as they try to get back on track.
Flin Flon's in town tonight and tomorrow, both 7:30 starts at Farrell Agencies Arena.
The Terrier organization will honour Myles Cameron on Saturday, as they'll hold a team lunch with Myles' family, before retiring his #28 jersey Saturday night.
Cameron was killed in a single vehicle rollover near his hometown of Duck Lake on December 22nd.
