Here's my chat with Wadena product Joey Leach that ran during last night's Fishing Lake Hockey League broadcast. Leach picked up an assist in a 6-4 Kootenay loss in Moose Jaw Friday night.
Speaking of the FLHL Broadcast, Theodore beat Wadena 8-2, but it was a 2-2 game after the first 20 minutes.
Josh Garbutt had 2g-3a for the Buffs... while Taylor Lang and Dustin Nehring also had 2 goals each. Kevin Stringfellow and Bryan Hull had the others. The Buffs scored 3 PP goals, 3 SH goals, one 4-on-4, and one 5-on-5.
For Wadena, Greg Young had 1g-1a, and Lyle Ostapowich scored their other goal.
Special teams told the story, with the Buffaloes going 3/7, plus scoring 3 SHG's, while the Wildcats were 0/9, and gave up the 3 shorties.
