The Swan Valley Stampeders have acquired 19-year-old defenseman Brendon Algeo from the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Drumheller Dragons.As a 17-year-old in 2008/09, Algeo put up 6g-23a-29p in 39 games with the Olds Grizzlys of the AJHL. He had injury problems, and played in just 17 games in Drumheller last season, collecting 1g-4a-5p.
He arrives in Swan River this afternoon, and it's not known yet whether or not he'll be in the lineup tonight when the Stampeders host the OCN Blizzard (7:20/7:30 on GX94).
