Canada West Finishes Off the Podium

Switzerland scored 6 straight third period goals to beat Team Canada West 8-3, and claim Bronze at the World Jr 'A' Challenge in Penticton, BC. That leaves Canada West out of the medals for the first time in the event's history.

The silver lining in this neck of the woods was the play of team captain Clarke Breitkreuz (Yorkton Terriers) and Ryan Marshall (Swan Valley Stampeders).

Breitkreuz had an assist in the Bronze Medal Game, and led the team in scoring with 1g-4a-5p in 5 games.

Marshall scored his first two goals of the tournament on Sunday, and had 2g-2a-4p at the event.

Canada East plays USA in the gold medal game, 7:30 tonight on TSN2.
