5 Straight: Mils Win a Wild One in Kindersley

Cody Hanson scored his 2nd of the night, 3:28 into overtime in an 8-7 (OT) win in Kindersley Thursday night, keeping Melville's winning streak alive at 5 games.

Michael Desjarlais also scored twice, while Ian McNulty and Connor Lowe-Wylde each scored their first SJHL goals. McNulty added 3 assists for a 4 point night. Also scoring were Dane Bonish and Lucas Froese.

Two players did all the damage for Kindersley, with Taylor Duzan scoring 4 goals (6 points), and Fort Qu'Appelle's Jesse Mysiorek notching a hat trick (4 points).

Shots on goal were 51-40 for Kindersley. Zach Rakochy earned his 5th straight win, making 44 saves.

The Mils went 4/8 on the powerplay while the Klippers went 1/3.

With Kindersley getting the single point for the OTL, Melville's still one point back of the Klippers for fourth in the Sherwood.

Melville (10-10-1) is now up to .500 for the first time this season, and look to keep their streak alive when they visit Battleford tonight (FRI). They're back in Kindersley again on Saturday.
