Mils Roar Back to Beat Bruins

When the Melville Millionaires went to the dressing room down 3-0 to the Estevan Bruins after 20 minutes, they had to be thinking 'not this again!'

The Mils have struggled against Estevan this season, losing all three of their previous head to head matchups.

But, something fired the Mils up in that room, as they stormed out to score three of their own in the middle frame, tying it at 3 through two periods.

Dane Bonish's 2nd, Mike Desjarlais' 5th, and Cody Hanson's 8th of the season squared the affair.

Mark Owen scored a powerplay goal :47 into the third to give the Mils the lead. The Bruins would later tie it, before Lucas Froese netted the winner with 1:06 to play. Froese has 3g-1a in 4 games since coming to Melville. Hanson and Desjarlais each had 1g-2a last night.

Shots were 43-40 Melville. Zach Rakochy got the win (36 saves), Joel Danyluk (38 saves) the loss.

The road hasn't been kind to the Swan Valley Stampeders this week.

After a 2-0 loss in OCN on Tuesday... the Stamps narrowly avoided a second straight shutout, falling 3-1 in Portage on Friday.

Brad McDonald's 9th of the year spoiled Terrier goalie Kirk Croswell's shutout bid.

Dylan Wells stopped 31/34 in the Stampeder net.

Swan Valley visits Caden Unger and the Steinbach Pistons tonight (SAT), and will finish up their trip Sunday in Winnipeg against the Blues.
