Herauf Released From NAHL

The North American Hockey League's New Mexico Mustangs have released former Melville Millionaire Logan Herauf.

Herauf's Junior 'A' rights were traded to La Ronge in exchange for G Kyle Jahraus during the summer.

In 6 games with the Mustangs, Herauf had 1-assist and was a -3.

I would really love to see him back with the Millionaires...he is truly liked around Melville... but that's big news for Laronge if he decides to come back to the SJHL.

Well, they'd have to trade for him... and La Ronge could ask for the moon, since he's only gonna sit if he doesn't go to LAR.

Could be an interesting story. Maybe another team in the south trades for him and the Mils have to play him 6+ times... or, maybe he just goes to La Ronge. He'd probably put up a point or two playing the wing with Lindensmith and Eggum.

But man, looking at the Mils lines the other night, I couldn't help but think how good he'd look beside Metz and Owen on that top unit!

Bob beatty will want an arm and a leg for him in a trade. That would be a big pickup for any team. Logan is a highly capable skilled player in the sjhl. It will be interesting to see if fiesel makes a move for herauf or not. I agree with you on that one steiner...imagine a line with metz, herauf, owen. Dynamite. I think were dreaming.

Still confused as to why Jamie traded Herauf, when Logan told Jamie he was going to give it a go down south why didn't he just keep him and collect the big money Bob got for Herauf...

Depending on how well LaRonge is doing up and to the trading deadline. My guess is he will report. Why not. I amsure he knows somebody who is or has played up there and will tell him that it is a good place to play.

Just wondering what makes you think the SJHL is a much better league?
