Stamps Shade Kings in Dauphin

Brendan Mitchell had a goal and an assist, and former King Luke Hill scored the winner with under 5 minutes left, as the Swan Valley Stampeders beat the Dauphin Kings 2-1 on Wednesday.

Stamps' goalie Dylan Wells was the difference, stopping 45/46 shots to earn the win.

The two teams meet again Saturday in Swan.

Swan Valley improves to 5-and-2, and take over sole possession of 1st in the Sherwood Division.

Wayway scored two late goals to force overtime, but lost 3-2 (OT) in Neepawa, falling to 0-3-2 on the year.

Clarke Breitkreuz returned from World Junior 'A' Challenge tryouts and scored 2 goals for the Yorkton Terriers, who fell 3-2 in overtime in Humboldt. The Broncos are still a perfect 5-and-0, while Yorkton's at 3-1-1.

Breitkreuz leads the SJHL in scoring with 10 points (4g-6a) in 5 games.

Just a correction, Swan and Dauphin meet Saturday in Swan (not Friday, as noted above) :)
