All but one of the 8 games in the SJHL and MJHL Saturday night were decided by one goal.
The Yorkton Terriers, once again, had a monster 2nd period, and needed all 5 goals they scored in the middle frame, as they got by the Nipawin Hawks 6-5 in overtime. Blaine Tendler scored the OT winner at 2:52 of the extra frame on a powerplay. Robbie Ciolfi (pictured) scored twice, both short-handed, less than 4 minutes apart. He now has 4 goals on the season, and all of them have come short-handed, in 4 games played! Clarke Breitkreuz had 3-assists, and leads the team with 8 points (2g, 6a). Other goal scorers included Gary Rai, Craig Eisenhut and Rylan McDonell.

The Swan Valley Stampeders pulled a rabbit out of their hats in Steinbach, erasing a 3-0 deficit to win 4-3 in regulation.
Shelby Gray and Brad McDonald scored twice each. Gray's winner came with just 52 seconds remaining in the third period. The Invermay, SK product has 6g-1a-7p in 4 games to start the year.
Swan improves to 4-and-1, and wrap up their 3-in-3 Sunday afternoon against the Winnipeg Saints.

That first 'W' continues to elude the Wayway Wolverines, despite playing in yet another 3-2 game.
Saturday's loss to OCN was the third by that score already in four games this season, and the Wolverines are now 0-3-1.
6'7" 255 lb Matt Malenstyn scored both Wayway goals.
The Wolverines even out-shot the Blizzard 30-20, but Matt Krahn, recently re-assigned to the Blizzard from the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds, made 28 saves in the win.
