Joel Danyluk made 36 saves against his former team, leading La Ronge to a 3-1 victory over the Yorkton Terriers Saturday night, which ties the SJHL Credit Union Cup at 1 game each.
The Terriers did score first, when Cody Zubko scored just over three minutes into the game from linemates Moar and Smukowich. That line's been on the ice for all five Terrier goals in the series.
Yorkton led 1-0 after the first period, but Robert Monfore tied it in the second, and the Ice Wolves got third period goals from Dustin Stevenson and Taylor Piller.
Devin Peters faced over 40 shots for a second straight night, turning aside 39/42.
Games 3 and 4 go Tuesday and Wednesday back in Yorkton. The Terriers were without forwards Jordan Menke and Brent Struble for Game 2, and while they're both hoping to be back when the series shifts to Yorkton, that'll be up in the air until game day.

The Dauphin Kings erased a 4-0 deficit and beat the Winnipeg Saints 5-4, sweeping the MJHL Final in 4 straight. It's the Kings' first Turnbull Trophy since 1992-93, and the RBC Hosts are now off to the Anavet Cup, which means, the SJHL Champ also gets an automatic berth, not only to the Anavet, but also the RBC in Dauphin May 1-9.

Did you enjoy being serenaded by Duran Duran's "Hungry like a Wolf" during the post game show last night???
That and the Fish throwing sounds like a circus up there in Laronge!!! I wonder if Yorkton's security is up to the task of preventing that in Yorkton!!!
