SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK
Blaine Tendler, Yorkton Terriers
1990 D Blaine Tendler (Viceroy SK) picked up four assists in two games played against the Kindersley Klippers in the Sherwood Conference final. The series is tied at one game apiece after Tendler contributed three helpers in Saturday’s 7-4 victory in game two. Two of Tendler’s three assists came on the powerplay and he’s been a big factor for Yorkton’s powerplay resurgence, which was 4-for-6 in game two against the Klippers.Runners-up: Cody Folstad, Battlefords; Dustin Stevenson, La Ronge.
(Tendler's only 19, but his playoff beard puts him closer to 38... looks NOTHING like the above pic!)
Yorkton's Brent Struble was named a runner-up for SJHL Player of the Week. Struble scored three goals in the first two games of the Conference Final.
