Stamps' Comeback Falls Short, Season Over

The Dauphin Kings stormed out to a 3-0 second period lead, before Myles Stevens, Carter Selinger and Chris Reimer helped the Swan Valley Stampeders storm back and tie it up, but Mitch Czibere put the Kings back in front late in the 2nd, and that's how it would finish, 4-3 Kings, as the Stampeders lose the MJHL Sherwood Division Final in 5 games.

Plenty of Stampeder reaction to come in the next few days, but first off, I want to congratulate the Stamps on one of their best seasons in franchise history. MJHL Coach of the Year Dwayne Kirkup and GM Guy Vestby put a great product on the ice this season, and they'll graduate 9 great 20-year-olds, including goalie Jayme Janzen, and 6 impact forwards.

Also thanks to Fox FM's Ron Rimer and GX94's Clark Stork for making the trip to Dauphin and getting Game 5 of the series on the air... it was a lot of fun having two games on the radio last night, and we only missed about 20 minutes of game time of the Terrier game.
