Yorkton (24-30-3-1) 51 pts vs La Ronge (29-21-3-5) 66 pts
In the 12 team SJHL, the league's 7th and 10th ranked teams from the regular season will square off for all the marbles. Teams 1-6 were all bounced, and the top three teams were all knocked out by one of these two remaining clubs.
How they got here
They both did it the hard way, both having three rounds already under their belts. This was the first year that both Survivor Series winners even won their next rounds, so obviously it's the first time both went to the Championship. Yorkton beat Melville 3-1 in the Sherwood Survivor Series, took out the league-leading Weyburn Red Wings in 5 games, and then Kindersley in 7 games in the Sherwood Final. La Ronge swept Humboldt 3 straight in the Bauer Survivor, took out first place Flin Flon in 6, and then 2nd place Battleford in 6.

Yes, only 4 goals for the Terriers in 4 games, and two of them were scored by players no longer with the team (Matt Chomyc/Brendan Stephen). Infact they both scored in a 2-1 win in La Ronge. Nick Dietrich and Austin Bourhis had the others.

Between The Pipes
Devin Peters had a handful of goals he might want back against Kindersley, but he only allowed more than 3 goals once (in regulation), and the Terriers WON that game. You don't get to a league final with average goaltending, and Devin Peters has been anything but average in 16 games. He was MVP of the Weyburn series in my books, and made some key saves at key times in Game 7... and faced a penalty shot in the third period of a 3-3 tie. I wouldn't doubt La Ronge starts with Adam Bartko, since he's played all but one period of the Ice Wolves' 15 games so far in the playoffs, but don't be shocked if former Terrier Joel Danyluk sees some action, perhaps once the series shifts to Yorkton. It's his home rink, and he'll be jacked up to face the Terriers if he gets the chance. He certainly was when he made his return to Yorkton as an Ice Wolve in the regular season, making 24/25 saves in a 3-1 win.
