Kinnunen Hits 30 as Mils Finish With 29W

Only 4 players in the SJHL finished the season with 30-goals, and Melville's Matt Kinnunen was the fourth and final, doing it on the final night of the regular season, with 29 seconds left in a 7-1 win over the visiting Estevan Bruins.

Logan Herauf finsihed strong with 2g-2a, his centreman Michael Desjarlais scored for a second straight game, with 1g-3a, and Justin Hollinger put up 2a, as that line combined for 10 points (4g-6a).

Michael Rogoschewsky, Dane Bonish, and AP call-up Jordan Paddock from the Regina Pat Canadians also scored for the Millionaires, while Zack Rakochy made 28/29 saves in Melville's final regular season game.

Melville went 11-and-2 in their final 13 games, finishing the season with a record of 29-26-2-1.

They'll host Yorkton for Game 1 of the Sherwood Survivor Series Friday at 7:30.
