Captains Collide One Last Time

Melville's Michael Jordan and Yorkton's Cody Zubko were both 17-year-old rookies in 2006-07 when the Mils and Terriers squared off in the playoffs for the first of four straight times.

Now, they're both 20 years old, wearing the 'C' for their respective clubs, as they get set to battle eachother for a fourth and final time.

If my counting's right, and if they met 10 times in the regular season in 2006-07 (which the old format used to have), altogether these two have seen eachother 53 times (reg. season/playoffs) in their careers, and it'll be close to 60 by time it's all said and done.

2006-07: 10 reg season + 7 playoffs
2007-08: 8 reg season + 4 playoffs
2008-09: 8 reg season + 7 playoffs
2009-10: 9 reg season (Showcase) + ??? playoffs

53 head to head meetings

I had a chance to talk to both captains prior to the playoffs. Michael's is a little longer because I plan to run it during our first broadcast of the series, Game 2 in Yorkton on Saturday.
