Tuesday Night Round-Up

On a line with Dane Bonish and Michael Jordan, Brayden Metz (pictured) played likely his best game of the season, recording 2 assists in a 4-2 Mils win over the Nipawin Hawks Tuesday night.

Jordan, along with Logan Herauf and Matt Kinnunen all had a goal and an assist, while Cody Hanson rounded out the scoring.

Tanner Dusyk and David Skagen tallied for Nipawin, while Chris Jackson made 36/38 saves in the victory.

The Millionaires are one game below .500 on the season now (15-16-2-1), and back above .500 at home (8-7-1-1). Doing some digging earlier today I found the Mils were 43-13-1 on home ice over the previous two seasons, but had struggled at the Stadium with a .500 mark at home before Tuesday.

The Yorkton Terriers are the first SJHL team to hit the Christmas Break, and they do so on a bit of a cold streak, having lost three straight and five of seven in December, while scoring just 10 goals in those 7 games.

Kevin Stringfellow scored in the third period of Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Weyburn Red Wings.

The Terriers hit the break at 17-17-3-0, and are off until New Year's Day when they head to Melville.

------------------------

The Wayway Wolverines had ice problems and weren't able to play their home game against OCN. Already forced to make up 5 games due to sickness earlier in the year... the Wolverines are now forced to deal with yet another makeup game.
